Branch types and what they add to your menu
What each kind of branch is, which menus it switches on, and how running several businesses in one branch works.
Every branch has a main type and can also run other businesses on the same premises, for example a library with a cafe or a hotel with a restaurant. The type decides which menus appear in the left menu.
The kinds of branch
When you add a branch, Legasum shows a gallery titled What does this branch need?. Switch on everything the branch runs.

The first one you switch on becomes the Main business. A switched-on card with another type offers Make main to change that. Switching a business off only hides its menus; its data is kept.
Which general menus each type shows

Dashboard, Inbox, Accounts and Company are shown for every branch. A branch that runs several businesses shows the menus of all of them.
How the branch you pick changes the menu
- Pick one branch in the sidebar: you see the menus for that branch.
- Pick All branches: you see the menus of every branch together.
- A company with no branches yet keeps every menu.
Good to know
- The industry menus (Library, Restaurant, Hotel, Hostel, Clinic, Hospital) also need to be switched on for your Legasum. If a branch is the right type but its menu is missing, ask your company owner.
- Your role and your company's settings still apply on top. A menu you may not view stays hidden even if the branch runs that business.
- To change a branch's type later, open Branches and select Manage modules on that branch. See Branches.
