Sign in, and reset a forgotten password
How to sign in, what the common messages mean, and how to get back in with an emailed reset link.
- Open the sign-in page.
- Enter your email and password.
- Select Sign In.
You land on the dashboard. If you do not belong to a company yet you are taken to the setup wizard. If you belong to several companies and none is selected, you are taken to My Companies to pick one.
There is also a Google button. If Google sign-in is switched on for your Legasum, you can use it instead of a password. If it is not, you will see "Google sign-in isn't available right now."
To leave, open the round account icon at the top right and select Log Out.
What the messages mean
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Invalid email or password. | Check both and try again. The same message appears whether the email is unknown or the password is wrong. |
| Account is not verified or doesn't exist anymore. Please contact support. | Your email was never verified, or your account has been switched off. See Create your account, or ask your company owner whether you were deactivated. |
| Too many attempts, please try again later. | Too many tries in a short time. Wait a while and try again. |
Reset a forgotten password
- On the sign-in page select Forgot Password?.
- Enter your email and select Send Reset Link.
- Open the email and select the link. It expires after 15 minutes.
- Type a new password (at least 8 characters) and select Reset Password.
You are signed in as soon as the reset succeeds. For privacy the app shows the same confirmation whether or not the email has an account, so check your inbox and spam folder.
If the link has expired, the page says so. Select Request a new one and start again. A reset link works only once.
