Read the hotel reports
See today's occupancy and, for a date range, revenue, room nights sold and average room rate.
Open the report
Choose Hotel then Hotel Reports or open Reports. You need the Hotel "View" permission.
Pick the dates
Use From and To at the top. By default the range runs from the first day of this month to today. The numbers update when you change a date.
What the cards show
| Card | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Occupancy now | Occupied rooms as a percentage of rooms in service, right now. Rooms in Maintenance or Blocked are left out. |
| Guests in house | Total guests currently checked in, plus how many arrive and leave today. |
| Revenue | The total of all folios settled in the date range, before tax. |
| Average room rate | Room revenue divided by room nights sold. The hint shows the nights sold and the money from rooms. |
Below the cards, Rooms by state lists how many rooms are Ready, Occupied, Dirty and so on.
Good to know
- Revenue counts stays by the day they were settled (checked out), not the day the guest stayed.
- Voided charges are not counted.
- Revenue is before tax. The posted invoices (under Sales) hold the tax and the payments.
- Average room rate uses only the room charge lines, so extras such as minibar items do not change it.
- The report covers the hotel you picked at the top of the page.
