Open the report
Go to Hospital > Hospital Reports (open it). Anyone with Hospital View can read it. It covers the hospital branch shown at the top of the page.
Use From and To to choose a period. It opens on the first day of the current month up to today.
What the cards show
| Card | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Occupancy now | Occupied beds as a percentage of beds in service, with the number of inpatients. This is always about the present, not the period. |
| Admissions | Patients admitted in the period (cancelled admissions are not counted), and how many were discharged |
| Average stay | Average days of the stays discharged in the period, and the bed days billed |
| Revenue | Settled bills of stays discharged in the period, split into beds and charges |
Below the cards:
- Occupancy by ward lists each active ward with "occupied of beds".
- How patients left counts discharges in the period by type: Recovered, Improved, Referred, Left against medical advice or Deceased.
Good to know
- Revenue counts only bills that have been settled, and it is the total before tax. The tax and the payments are on the posted invoices (see Charge the bill). A stay that is discharged but not billed yet is not in the revenue.
- Beds in maintenance or blocked are left out of the "in service" count used for occupancy.
- The ward board shows today's figures (inpatients, admitted and discharged today, free beds) on one screen; see Use the ward board.
