Branches - add locations and choose what each one runs
Add a branch, change what it runs, and assign warehouses and bank accounts to it.
A branch is a location your business operates from. Open Branches from Company > Branches. You need the Branches view permission to see the page, Create to add a branch and Edit to change one. People whose role is limited to certain branches cannot manage branches at all ("You don't have access to manage branches.").
Add a branch
- Select Add Branch. A form opens.
- Enter the Branch Name (required). Optionally add a Code (for example HQ) and an Address.
- Under What does this branch need?, switch on everything the branch runs. See Branch types and what they add to your menu.
- Select Save Branch.
The first branch you add becomes the Default branch. The new branch appears in the sidebar's branch picker straight away.
Change a branch
- In the table, select Manage modules on the branch.
- Change the name, code, address or the businesses it runs.
- Select Save changes.
Switching a business off only hides its menus. Its data is kept. If you want to know which menus appear for each kind of branch, see the article linked above.
Assign warehouses and bank accounts
- Select Manage on a branch. A card titled with the branch name and "Assignments" opens below.
- Under Warehouses or Cash & Bank Accounts, choose an item from the drop-down and select Assign.
- To remove one, select Unassign beside it.
Assigned warehouses and accounts then belong to that branch, so branch-based reports and defaults work. Only items not yet assigned to this branch are offered.

| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
