Describe the scope and keep project files
Break a project into modules, write its description, and upload documents.
Scope Of Work (modules)
The Scope Of Work tab is a tree of modules, which are the parts of the job.
- Click Add Module.
- Enter a Module name and a Description (both required). Optionally add a Budget amount (optional).
- Click Save.
To add a part under an existing module, click + Sub next to it. Click a module's name to see its description and budget on the right. Use the bin to delete a module; if it has submodules, the confirmation tells you how many will go too.
Files/Details
The Files/Details tab has two parts.
Description
Click Edit, write or paste the project description, and click Save. Line breaks are kept. The Edit button only appears once the current text has loaded, so you cannot accidentally overwrite it.
Files/Documents
- Click the + button in the Files/Documents card.
- Choose a file from your computer. It uploads straight away.
- Click a file name to open it in a new tab.
Each file shows its size and a Private or Portal label. Click the label to switch between them. Portal makes the file visible in the customer or provider portal; new files start as Private. Click the bin to delete a file.
Good to know
- The largest file you can upload is 25 MB. Some file types that could run as programs are refused with "This file type isn't allowed."
- If no file is chosen, you see "Please choose a file to upload."
- Uploading and editing need the edit permission on Projects; deleting needs the delete permission.
