Build a lead form
Create a web form from a template or from scratch, choose its fields, and save it.
A lead form is a web page where visitors fill in their details. Each submission becomes a lead in your Leads list. Find the tools under CRM > Lead Forms: Forms List and Create New Form.
Create a form
- Open CRM > Lead Forms > Create New Form.
- Pick a starting point: - Start from Scratch: a blank form. - Contact Form: Full Name, Email, Phone and a Message box. - Newsletter Signup: Full Name and Email. - Quote Request: Full Name, Email, Phone, a "Service Interested In" drop-down and a "Project Details" box.
- The form is created and the builder opens.
Use the builder
The builder has three areas:
- Add Field (left): select a field type to add it to the end of the form. Types are Short Text, Long Text, Full Name, Email, Phone, Number, Date, Dropdown, Single Choice, Multiple Choice and Yes / No.
- Form Fields (middle): your fields in order. Use the up and down arrows to reorder and the bin to remove one. Select a field to edit it.
- Properties (right): change the field's Label. For Dropdown, Single Choice and Multiple Choice fields you can edit each option and select Add Option.
Type a name for the form in the box at the top (only your team sees it), then select Save Form. "Saved!" appears when it worked.
Manage your forms
The Forms List shows each form's name and whether it is Active. Use the icons on each row:
- Eye: open the public form in a new tab (see Share a lead form and read submissions).
- Pencil: edit the form in the builder.
- Inbox: view submissions.
- Bin: delete the form and its saved submissions, after you confirm.
Good to know
- There is no "required field" option. A visitor can leave fields empty, but the form needs at least one answer to be accepted.
- The heading and introduction shown on the public page are standard text. The builder changes the fields, not that wording.
- Your administrator can control who can create, edit and delete forms through the Leads permissions.
