Inventory

Your catalogue of products and services, where stock is kept, and how to keep an eye on it.

Everything about what you sell and hold lives under the Inventory menu in the sidebar: Products, Services, All Items, Categories, Units, Warehouses and Low Stock Alerts. The Stock Summary report is under Accounts > Reports.

You only see the entries your role allows, and the whole Inventory menu can be switched off for a company. If something is missing, ask your company owner or administrator.

• Add a product or service

  Fill in the Add Item form, including prices, tax and opening stock.

• View, edit or remove an item

  Read an item's details, stock and price history, then change or remove it.

• Item categories

  Group your items into categories so they are easier to find.

• Units of measure

  Choose how an item is counted, such as pieces, kilograms or boxes.

• Warehouses

  Set up the places where you keep stock and choose the default one.

• Adjust stock and transfer between warehouses

  Correct a stock count, record damage, or move stock from one warehouse to another.

• Low Stock Alerts

  See which products have dropped to or below their reorder level.

• Import, export and bulk edit items

  Load many items from a spreadsheet, download your list, or change prices on several items at once.

• Stock Summary report

  See how much stock you hold and what it is worth right now.
