Hotel

Rooms and rates, reservations, the front desk, housekeeping, guest bills and reports for a hotel.

The Hotel module runs the daily work of a hotel: you set up room types and rooms, take bookings, check guests in and out, keep rooms clean and bill each stay.

The Hotel menu appears in the left menu for a branch whose type is Hotel, and only for people whose role has the Hotel permission (View to look, Edit to run the front desk, Create to change the setup). If you manage several branches, pick the hotel in the branch picker first.

• Set up room types, rooms and nightly rates

  Create the room types, floors and rooms a hotel sells, and give each type its nightly rate.

• Take and manage reservations

  Check which rooms are free for a stay, book a guest, and confirm, change or cancel the booking.

• Use the front desk to check guests in and out

  Work from today's arrivals, in-house guests and departures, and check a guest in or out.

• Keep rooms clean with the room rack and housekeeping

  See every room's state, move rooms through cleaning, and take rooms out of service for maintenance.

• Bill a stay with the folio and invoice

  Add extras to a guest's folio, void a mistake, and settle the bill at check-out as a posted invoice.

• Read the hotel reports

  See today's occupancy and, for a date range, revenue, room nights sold and average room rate.
