Hostel

Private rooms and dorm beds, flexible night, week and month pricing, group bookings, housekeeping, billing and reports.

The Hostel module is for places that sell both private rooms (booked whole) and dorm beds (booked bed by bed). You set up your rooms and beds, give each room type a price, take bookings, check guests in and out, and bill each stay.

The Hostel menu appears in the left menu for a branch whose type is Hostel, and only for people whose role has the Hostel permission (View to look, Edit to run the front desk, Create to change the setup). If you manage several branches, pick the hostel in the branch picker first.

• Set up private rooms, dorms and beds

  Create room types, floors, private rooms and dorms, and choose how many beds each dorm has.

• Set prices and understand how a stay is priced

  Give each room type a nightly rate and optional weekly and monthly rates, and see how Legasum picks the cheapest mix for long stays.

• Take and manage reservations, including group bookings

  Check what is free, book a private room or dorm beds, and confirm, change or cancel the booking or the whole group.

• Check guests in and out at the front desk

  Work from today's arrivals, guests in the hostel and departures, and check a guest in or out.

• Keep rooms and beds clean

  See every private room and dorm bed on the rack, clean them after check-out, and take them out of service.

• Bill a stay with the folio and invoice

  See the stay lines on a guest's folio, add extras, void mistakes, and settle at check-out as a posted invoice.

• Read the hostel reports

  See occupancy of beds and private rooms and, for a date range, revenue and the average rate per night.
